Bread can also be sweet! I have seen a couple of very interesting recipes online and venture out to bake something similar.

Still, both of these recipes have quite a bit of ingredients and I wanted to use my basic bread recipe and upgrade it.

So, my bread recipe is as simples as that:

  • Make the dough
    • 3 1/2 cups of all purpose flour
    • 1 cup of warm water
    • 1 tbsp of instant yeast
  • Mix all ingredients – I used bread machine for that img_2070
  • Roll it out and cover in strawberry jam, roll it up and make braid

Put it in the baking form and let it raise for 1 hour. Then bake it for 50 min in 375F.

  6. Great idea! Did you top it with more jam? Or use as a twist* on peanut butter sandwiches?

    1. Thank you! No, I did not top it up with additional jam, just spend it out before making the braid 🙂
