Home made bread rolls make a perfect appetizer for a dinner. It can also be an inspiration for summer tapas!
I bought some lovely olive tapenade in Trader Joe’s and thought of mixing it in the basic bread dough to create simple and very tasty rolls.
The recipe goes as following:
- Make the dough
- 3 1/2 cups of all purpose flour
- 1 cup of warm water
- 1 tbsp of instant yeast
- Mix all ingredients – I used bread machine for that, but you can mix it by hands as well
- Mix tapanade in the dough – if it feels too liquid add some flour
- Let it rise for 1 hour in room temperature
- Bake for 50 min in 375F
The Trader Joe’s tapenade gives rolls strong and intense flavors. Thus, they can be easily a dish itself or something you bake for a BBQ or bring to a picnic.
