Sour cream bread

Sour cream is  great ingredient to make bread or bake cakes. This time I made dough in bread machine using sour cream as a base and baked it in the oven later.

For the recipe you will need:

  • 1 cup of sour cream (leave it in  a room temperature for a bit or warm it microwave before using)
  • 1 1/2 tbsp of active yeast
  • 1 tbsp of brown sugar
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • 4 cups of bread flour

Put all ingredients in bread machine and select dough function. I used it only for mixing  (about 10 min). Then let dough rise for 1 hour in warm oven (100F). Finally baked it for 50 min in 350F.

    I have a bread machine and only use it about once a year. I should get it out and try some of these breads!
