Dessert time: rice pudding in bread machine!

New challenge for bread machine  – desserts! I was thinking for quite a while which desserts could be made in bread maker and came up with a couple ideas. First one – rice pudding.

The process is so easy that I could say that rice pudding cooks itself 🙂 All you need is:

  • 1 cup of warm milk (I warmed it up for 1,5 minutes in microwave)
  • 3/4 cup of rice (usually short grain, but can also be long grain, basmati or jasmine rice; I used basmati)
  • 1/2 cup of brown sugar
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp of cinnamon

Put all the ingredients in bread machine and set it for jam function. I stopped the program after 45 min. Depending on your machine you might need to adjust cooking time.

Very easy and very tasty!
