I found a great promotion in Walmart – a box of strawberries was just $1! I also had some frozen peaches in my fridge. So, I have decided to make some strawberry – peach jam for the weekend.
The ingredients:
- 1 cup of strawberries
- 1 cup of peaches (I used frozen ones, but fresh can be used as well)
- 1,5 cups of sugar
- 3 tbsp of pectin
Set your bread machine to jam function and relax. 1 hour later you will have a tasty jam!
Jam will go great with cappuccino and freshly baked bread for breakfast!
I may have to look for a bread maker just to make jam. I assume the jam can be stored in the fridge. I don’t have the patience for officially canning things.

Hi Nancy! Yes, I store jam in the fridge 🙂 it stays good for at least 4 weeks.

Your recipes look amazing! I used to have a bread machine; but when we moved to a small town (outside of Zurich, Switzerland), in which is a Baker’s shop that’s open 363 days a year, it began collecting dust… so I guess I’ll just enjoy your recipes vicariously. 😉

Thank you! Enjoy Switzerland, I am sure you can find some great bakes in the local bakery!
