Jam from frozen berries

Making jam from scratch is very easy and a lot of fun. Never the less, it can be quite costly. So, I have decided too try to use frozen berries.

I bought berry medley from Trader Joe’s. It was $2,99 and I was able to make 2,5 jars of jam.

The ingredients:

  • 2 cups of berries
  • 1,5 cups of sugar
  • 3 tbsp of pectin

I used jam function and decided to use frozen berries (they can be de-frozen as well). It took 1 hour and 5 min.

Once again bread machine is great for jams!

      1. Yeah! Too bad I don’t have a bread machine. I’ve used my mother’s to make pizza dough last year. Hers is one from late ’90s early ’00s, so I’m not sure if it would have a jam function.

      2. If you are interested to give bread machine a try, check thrift stores. They normally have some good ones to choose from 😉
